A Walk in the Forest is an invitation to discover the woods as a place for both imaginative play and contemplation: collect pinecones, feathers, or stones; follow the tracks of a deer; or listen to the chirping of birds and the whisper of trees. The forest comes alive with Maria Dek's gentle watercolour images and poetic text.

Maria Dek is a polish writer and illustrator. Living and working in Białowieża, in the middle of the oldest forest in Europe, Dek’s watercolour illustrations are infused with the shapes, forms and colours of the natural world. A Walk in the Forest is her first children's picture book.
